"I'm scared of needles."

This is a very common statement I hear when people come in for acupuncture.
Things to consider:
1st - needles are not always needed in a pediatric treatment
2nd - acupressure can be as effective in teaming children
3rd - needles should not be scary, they are a tool
When are child comes in for an appointment, their comfort, and peace of mind are most important. It's preferred they are at ease, calm and able to understand they are part of their healing journey.
When children are included, heard and take part in their treatment, they begin to understand their discomforts and adapt to changes their bodies go through. This can help now and as they grow and change.
